The Ericsson T28 was launched in 1999 and amazed the world with its extremely slim profile: only 15 mm when closed (a record at the time). Its elegant design and innovative battery made it a coveted item.
Design and materials
Polycarbonate body, backlit keypad, flip (cover) that concealed the keypad. When open, it measured 147 mm; when closed, 95 mm. Weight: only 83 grams.

Common problems and solutions
- Battery not holding charge: most original batteries are dead. Compatible modern batteries are available.
- Broken flip: the hinge is delicate. It can be replaced or repaired with glue and patience.
- Unresponsive keys: clean the contacts.
Collector's value
The Ericsson T28 is quite rare. A working model with an intact flip and a functional battery can be worth €80-200. With the original box and accessories, even more.
