How to repair the Samsung C3520 – Common issues and solutions
The Samsung C3520 is robust, but after years small faults may appear. Here are the most frequent problems and how to solve them.
1. Battery not charging or draining fast
Symptoms: phone turns off immediately, battery swells or is not recognised. Solution: clean battery and phone contacts with a cotton swab dipped in isopropyl alcohol. If not enough, replace the battery with a compatible one (original model EB494358VU).
2. Loose or broken hinge
Symptoms: phone won't stay open, closes by itself or makes noise. Solution: open the phone with a T5 screwdriver and tighten the hinge screws. If the plastic is broken, replace the entire hinge.
3. Black screen or lines
This may be due to the flat cable connecting the top and bottom parts. Try opening and closing the phone several times: if the screen sometimes turns on, the cable is damaged.
4. Unresponsive keys
Clean the contacts under the keys with isopropyl alcohol and a soft brush. If the problem persists, replace the keypad membrane.
5. 'Insert SIM card' error
Clean SIM contacts with an eraser. If still not working, try a SIM adapter or change the SIM reader.
